Welcome to the Ice Fish Inn, a seven-room country B&B in the North Woods of Maine, on the doorstep of Mt. Katahdin and the northern terminus of the Appalachian Trail. Our Inn is on the north end of Millinocket's central business district, just steps away from restaurants, award-winning art galleries and other main street shops. Millinocket is the gateway community to Mount Katahdin and Baxter State Park; the Appalachian Mountain Club's 100-Mile Wilderness; the Allagash and other world-class waterways; and the Golden Road into the North Woods region of Maine.
Something For Everyone
The Millinocket area has something to offer to everyone year-round, whether it's hiking, paddling, hunting, snowmobiling, skiing, ATV'ing, shopping, sightseeing, fishing or viewing the Fall foliage. We can set you up with maps, information, and recommendations of what to see and where to go. If you're traveling with pets, our two downstairs rooms are dog and cat friendly. We can show you all our favorite places to walk a dog and we'll lend you a scoop so you can comply with Millinocket's strict "clean up after your dog" law. We can lend you a rod and lures or rent you an ice fishing set-up if you're here for the fish. If you're in town on business, with advance notice we can set your room up with a printer, scanner, access to our fax machine, a dedicated wifi node, and the fastest internet available in Millinocket.
Our Inn
The Ice Fish Inn is one of the four oldest houses in Millinocket. Like many other classic New England homes, ours has been added onto over the years, resulting in a total of 27 rooms. Each of our bedrooms has its own private bath. The front parlour can be set up for dining or lounging; and the side parlour can be used for dining, socializing, watching movies, or private conferencing with full coffee service. Or just kick back in a comfortable rocking chair on our spacious porch and watch the world go by. The coffee's always on so come on in and make us your home away from home in Millinocket.
